Question, Persuade, Refer is a gatekeeper skills training developed by the QPR Institute. A widely-used universal prevention strategy, QPR is recognized in SAMHSA’s and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center’s national registry of best practices. This training teaches warning signs for a person with thoughts of suicide and the simple QPR framework to support them, including pragmatic “scripts” that will leave you feeling more confident to have this difficult conversation with friends, family, students, colleagues, and clients. QPR is appropirate for anyone 16 years or older.
