QPR - Question, Persuade, Refer is a gatekeeper skills training developed by the QPR Institute. A widely-used universal prevention strategy, QPR is recognized in SAMHSA’s and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center’s national registry of best practices. 

This training, required for Salem-Keizer School District Personnel, teaches warning signs for a person with thoughts of suicide and the simple QPR framework to support them, including pragmatic “scripts” that will leave you feeling more confident to have this difficult conversation with friends, family, students, colleagues, and clients.

Requirements for your participation in this virtual event: 

• Please arrive on time. The zoom room will be opened 10 minutes prior to the start of class to take attendance and get everyone checked in.
• You are expected to be present and on camera for the duration of the training, both for safety and engagement purposes. 
• If you arrive more than 15 min. late or miss that much content due to unplanned interruptions, you may not receive credit for having attended.
